Learn More About Our Patreon
Developing a board game, yet alone a board gaming company, can be a lengthy and lonely process. So Sayre Brothers’ Games has launched a Patreon to help us turn our dreams and ideas into reality!
Please watch our pitch video below and then visit our Patreon page — by clicking the orange button below the video! On our Patreon page, there’s a ton more detail about how we got started and where we’re heading with Sayre Brothers’ Games. We’ve also listed a number of goals so you can see what we need to accomplish.
Oh, while you’re there, check out our video post entitled, Day One Creating The Epochs of Errimel! It’s about the making of our first game using the PentaHex Gaming Platform.
Don’t know what Patreon is? Read on…
Patreon is a newish platform that helps people in all sorts of creative arts build an audience of supporters that enable them to pursue their passions and dreams. It’s best described, at least in our way of looking at it, as a perpetual crowdfunding platform. Unlike Kickstarter or Indiegogo where campaigns are finite in length, on Patreon, campaigns have no set time length. Patrons pledge a certain amount to a given creative’s campaign. This financial support is either paid each month or on a per project basis.
Sayre Brothers’ Games has elected a per month Patron support model — one used by many campaigns on Patreon. This means that each month you will be billed at whatever level you offered your support. You can change that at any time. You can opt out at any time.
We do not plan on having an indefinite-length Patreon campaign, as others do. Instead, we plan on using your monthly support as a Patron to help move us to the point where we can launch a Kickstarter or Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. From that point, we plan to let sales of the actual PentaHex Platform and games fuel our company. That means we will end our Patreon at some time in the future.
